ABOUT LAURA GALLO
Laura Gallo is a Graphic Design student at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. She is passionate about telling stories and communicating emotions and ideas through the diverse aspects of design. Laura grew up drawing and painting from a young age and always dreamt of a creative career. As she got older, the pressures of life and finances propelled her away from a creative industry, but she was always creating whenever she had the opportunity. Many years later, after watching the documentary, Milton Glaser: To Inform and Delight, Laura’s eyes were opened to a world of creativity she had not yet explored, which brought fine art to the digital world, and she knew she had to pursue a career in design. Laura explored many avenues of design including designing business cards and wedding programs for friends and family, designing and self-binding an alphabet book, and creating and branding her own cologne company. She was also sought out by her local church to help redesign their building’s space and create an inviting hallway installation for the children’s ministry. After much exploration in the world of design, Laura headed back to school where she is privileged to learn under the instruction of industry professionals. She is a member of AIGA and Creative Mornings San Francisco. She plans to be a part of a collaborative design team and one day open her own studio.
